On Friday November 13, 2015, at a gathering to commemorate Armistice Day, November 11th, the chairman of the Council, Maciej Zaremba, was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit by Grzegorz Morawski, Consul-General of the Republic of Poland. This award recognizes Mr. Zaremba’s many years of working to raise funds for Polish Studies at the University of Toronto as well as many years in the past in leadership positions in the Association of Polish Engineers in Canada.
